1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Secure Vault application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Secure Vault is a mobile application that provides encrypted local storage for photos and videos on your iOS device. The App encrypts your media using AES-256-GCM encryption and stores all data locally on your device. No data is transmitted to external servers.

3. User Accounts and Security

The App does not require account registration. Access to the App is protected by a PIN code that you set during initial setup. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN.

Important: We do not have access to your PIN or encryption keys. If you forget your PIN, we cannot recover your data. There is no password reset functionality. You are solely responsible for remembering your access credentials.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers the following subscription plans:

• Free tier: Up to 20 encrypted items with all core security features.
• Premium Monthly: $4.99/month — unlimited storage, decoy vault, custom app icons.
• Premium Yearly: $24.99/year — same features as monthly at a reduced rate.

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

5. Data and Privacy

All your data (photos, videos, metadata) is stored exclusively on your device and encrypted using AES-256-GCM. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your media or personal data. For complete details, please review our Privacy Policy.

6. Data Loss Disclaimer

While we employ industry-standard encryption and follow best practices for data integrity, we cannot guarantee against data loss resulting from:

• Device damage, loss, or theft
• Operating system updates or failures
• Forgotten PIN or encryption credentials
• App uninstallation
• Hardware malfunction

You are responsible for maintaining separate backups of any important media. The App is designed as a privacy tool, not as a primary backup solution.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Store illegal content as defined by applicable law
• Violate the rights of any third party
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security features of the App

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
